I dont think you can judge a person just because they don't own pets or because the actions of others around him ?

For example, if your dad drinks alot of beer, you are an alcoholic. Just because you don't have liquor on your house it means you are hiding at work. You see how easy it is to just make up shit like that.

If he is a businessman always on the go, I can see how pets can be a distraction. It does not mean he does not care he just prioritised differently to others.
