I started this thread roughly 90 days ago. What has happened so far that I predicted.

Pravin has been charged. The Rand dipped 4%. Slight recovery when Shaunie from NPA tried to soften the stand. Fact remains, 2 Nov Pravin must be in court.

This will cast doubt whether he will remain as Minister of Finance.

Should he be cast aside by zuma, the rand will freefall, as the market is pre-emptive. S&P, Fitch will drop their ratings of SA to Junk Bond, leaving fund managers with no option but to disinvest. Capital will flow out, furher depressing the Rand.

zuma will appoint one of his cronies, and then open up the Treasury for him to rape. We will lose all in two years time, and SA will be on it's way like Zimbabwe.

But then, election time, and by now zuma would have antagonised even his own party, and the DA and EFF will win the election. And hopefully then we can prosecuite zuma and put him behind bars. Oh no, he will arrange immunity for himself.


What about you and I and the punting scene ?

The economy will shrivel, money will dry up, recession will come upon us, and we will be fucked.

Less money, less punting.


I am not even talking about the alternative as I don't see that happening.

Indeed, it was a long time in the making. I have been preparing for this for about 8 years. Whether Gorden is indeed eventually booted out or not, the economy is only going one way for the foreseeable future and that is down... These last few months of 2016, is the last chance for individuals to start thinking of tomorrow and doing something proactive about it, failure to do so now, will be greatly regretted in the very near future.

Most of the world has been in an unofficial (not labelled) recession for a few years now, and down here in SA, we have been quite lucky in not being directly affected by it. But our luck was bound to run out sooner or later anyway....it's all part of the global road map... Our political climate and decisions made, just hastened the process.
