Taylor SARS does not care what you do to earn your keep.. that's your choice . The fact that you work those conditions is your choice . Think about the maid or nanny that looks after your child and cleans after them . They might earn less than a few thousand a month . Or that mine worker that risks his life ..
I'm not justifying the lavish wasteful spending of this government but the topic is should a WG pay taxes .
It's a wishful as asking TAXis to pay TAX ( excuse the pun)
But even ill gotten gains is supposed to be taxed.
And mind you if a working girl is not pocketing R20 000 plus a month then she should rather change jobs ... unless she enjoys what she does but then that discredits the point you were trying to make .

it all depends on the WG how much moola she wants to make. the effort in advertising and promoting herself, presentation, and striving to give great service consistently is all under the control of the wg herself. even the plain janes and average looking girls and I dare say a crackhead can coin it if they make effort.

some WG make even between R100K to R150K a month. tax free of course lol.

I think that everyone should pay their fair portion of tax. It is the right thing to do if the taxes are intended to improve our country.

But paying taxes into a corrupted system is like giving a beggar on the side of road R20 and hoping he will buy some food but only to see him at the liquor shop 10mins later.

It would be better if you use your tax money to pay your maid and your gardener a little more, tipped the waiter a little more or funded the some tuition for underprivileged school children.

WGs pay VAT on shit they buy so they do pay some form of tax.

1 - definitely not punting as you can't get a tax invoice to claim the vat back or chalk it towards an expense .
