In thinking a little deeper or seeing a little further than ones own nose, in not making it about oneself even though it may hit close to home and relating things to a broader concept rather, in not being an asshole, in welcoming opinion even though it may not sit comfortably with one's own sensibilities

Sensibilities are fast fading in the youth when it comes to real emotions and what they over-react to now-a-days is loss of wifi signal in a cafe or not being able to watch a trending clip ahead of their friends

Ago be a time where people talk about old school values and golden times where human behaviour seemed to be more contrite and less pretentious making one think has the human race become more progressive or regressive

Regressive means returning to a former or less developed state, in this case my word knowledge as I had to use the dictionary.

Dictionary usage is always excellent but even better in conjuction too, to refer to the thesaurus

Thesaurus is not a dinosaur, but a list of synonyms.
