A: The human trait to be jealous, we all tend to want to "keep" what is "ours". When you see other people not ticking to that clock it upsets your senses.

A: when I do become a consultant I may look at that option. For now experience is against me.

A: Yes - Financially of course, but I do not plan to retire ever, so I have planned and set up things in such a way, that I will be able to work even if I become bedridden or disabled, until the day I die, without it costing me a cent in overheads - So I will be earning an income until its time to move on to the next life.
