Not entirely true Sir, there's another site with a forum and it shows HD photos, downside is there's only a handful of adverisers.

Sorry then for my statement .. I didn't know about it !!!

But as you stated ... only a handful of advertisers .. making ESA still unique because of it's number of advertisers with a free forum platform !!!

True, and the banter on the forums is part of my punting process. I check the interaction of the ladies to see who I think I will "click" with, so far it's mostly working great. Every now and again a SP pops up on the forum that never partakes, then it's like hello why haven't I seen you before gorgeous

We can argue this language violation issue from back to front .. the bottom line is ... it has an impact on some of ladies income and if we were in their shoes .. we would have feel the same !!!

I am out !!!

As you are quick to ban on a one word violation, try a warning then a ban. Not much admin and qed

Dear sir

I am curious to know why a warning should be given when the rule is very clear and quite simple to follow.

Another question... If it is nothing to anyone what language gets spoken on the site then why is an English only site such a big issue?

Having made a decision to have a policy why have you come to the forum to ask what to do?

There are webtools that make the need for the policy obsolete,if you dont want to use them then just carry on doing what you want to do in any case as nothing said here will make a difference.

This whole discussion reminds me of etolls to be honest

Lol!

1) Implement the autocratic rule without consultation.

2) Act shocked when those affected oppose it.

3) Try to solicit their cooperation retrospectively through a panicky process of cosmetic bureaucracy.

Yeah, sounds about right, johndoe.

I try to not get involved in how ESA manages their site. I have known Eddie for many years and he knows what he is doing, or ESA wouldn't be the success that it is. I respect him because he has always followed a strict code on the laws of operating this site. It is the most interactive South African sex site with regards to the forum, chat facilities and reviews, etc.

There are a lot of good suggestions in the responses to this thread.

English is deemed the acceptable "Universal language of the world".

However, I do feel we are not being fair by demanding "English Only"

I understand that this is an international website, but we are a diverse country, that has had many diverse changes, we are uniquely multi-cultural and that should be taken into consideration.

I do however wonder if our current constitution would make it legally acceptable to demand that we use English only?

I am not a "legal eagle" but I would be interested to get some feed back from a legal perspective.

Sorry to ask a basic question, but is it not against the law to prevent people from expressing themselves in one of the official languages of South Africa? I found the whole thing bizarre.

Personally, I find it irritating when people don't speak English, but that's my selfish perspective. I think people should be free to argue with, compliment, flirt or discriminate against each other in whatever language they please. Per your constitution.

Dear Antoinette( and other Moderators),
Kindly ensure that the person moderating the forum,is well versed in the English Language, before deciding what is NOT ENGLISH.
Kindly ask them to check that the words used have an English meaning, look at the context in which they are used, and THEN...ONLY THEN decide to enforce a ban, according to the ESA Rule Violation.
There are some words that have the same spelling as africaans words, but have a distinct English meaning.
e.g's:
Africaans word for bread...
The foot of a horse/or similar animal....etc...
Your assistance with this, is highly appreciated.
Kind Regards
J.J.

PHEW!!!...just back from a couple of minutes banning...LOL
@ Matt...Thank you for your understanding and assistance.Greatly appreciated.
