Interesting idea with merit as it will protect both parties.
BUT if good service and decency by both parties need to be ensured by a third party it's only business and the fantasy will be gone.

I think the answer to all of this is the answer to the rates debate as well as many others that recur on these purple pages.
If you don't believe in deposits, simply don't pay them. See providers who are happy to accept cash on arrival. If you think R2k is a ridiculous hourly rate, vote with your wallet as they say; see providers who charge less.
When an SP gives you the info pertaining to how she runs her business, and any of it contradicts what you're comfortable with, simply thank her for her time and be on your way. In the same way I'm sure that most SPs will have no problem thanking you for your time and declining your booking if there's anything she won't be comfortable accommodating.
Life really doesn't need to be this crazy complicated.

Perhaps it could be combined with a cashless payment system seeing as cash is becoming difficult. Using blockchain as the medium of account. You both download an app for the transaction. The big issue would be privacy and the law.

I agree! Go to any shop and when paying, you will be asked "cash or card?" The important thing is that you pay for your bread before leaving the shop
