Sandon...so you would agree that the OP in this case is in fact ....yes....a racist. He made his choice of WG purely on race. He didnt ask for ANY Wg....he specifically asked for a WHITE WG... obviously discriminating against Black or Indian WG's
There is another thread on here today where a punter is asking for "the best Asian WG" in Pta/Jhb - no problem and numerous threads saying looking for a white WG/MG (presumably from white punters)
So @Malimbo firstly gets wrongly accused (with a later apology) of harrassing certain WGs and then we get this red herring of "choice" with experiencced WGs who should know better saying that for them it is not racism but choice. So without seeing a punter but based on the fact that he is white they would "choose" him - what if he happens to have foul breath, not have washed for a week and a neanderthal personality - he has still been chosen
The industry is not symmetric unfortunately. Punters are spending their money so do have the right of choice (which of course does not mean the right to be rude)
WG's/MG's are looking for punters. Of course they have the right to decline a booking if something doesn't feel right (the guy above for example) - but if they do this purely on the basis of race then it is racism
Let us hope that
1) @Malimbo got a good booking and has a great year in 2019
2) This theme does not resurface in 2019
