Scenario first

I went shopping with my daughter and we decided to get pancakes which was sold in front of shoprite.
Up walks a client of mine very casually..."hellooo hazel, how are you" while my daughter and an ex colleague from office is standing next to me...
I very politely respond: "sorry sir I think you might have the wrong person at hand" hoping he will catch the drift
This client then tries to hook up a conversation with my daughter,asking a bunch of personal questions and trying to make sweet talk with her.
She is clearly uncomfortable so I very quickly said good buy to my colleague who I bumped into and me and my daughter turns around and walk away without getting the pancakes we already paid for I might ad.

Please guys, you don't want us walking up to you when we spot you in public greeting you while you are with your family, or even worse should we try and make small talk with your wife for eg.

My request:

Please remember we have personal life's too, some of us even have or used to have a professional life as well.
Please refrain from using our working names in public areas should you greet us in public while we have someone with us especially if we have kids next to us.

I am sure most do understand the fine line in public but this is simply for those who don't OK.

I am not to upset as this client really didnt seem to understand the discomfort and he phoned me shortly after asking why i am so rude, ...shame so simply for those who didn't know please

@Hazel, you'd be surprised how many times I heard from ladies about this.

You should block him from future bookings becoz he is clearly more than just a complete moron. The fact that the idiot still called afterwards asking you why you were rude proves that he needs to be kicked hard in the balls, elbowed on his head and repeatedly kicked in his face while down.

Goolab - I really can't help laughing at your comment though I really can't see myself commuting those acts.

I will usually try to resolve in a decent and explanatory manner first and have only once found it necessary to take further or more drastic steps....touch wood

You know I honestly feel sorry for some of the clients on this site, they are simply very lonely and desperate then handle's the social need very naively and impulsively.
