I think the first heartache, the real one that breaks your soul is losing a pet dog.

There is no being in the world that will love you so unconditionally. They don't care how you look, the size of your wallet, your achievements. They are so happy just to be in your presence.

They also helped us humans with 'doggy style' lol. But I digress. They are truly man's best friend.

Its like the quote, "be the person your dog thinks you are".

So very true. I adore my dog.

I have to agree, can't remember not having a pet dog.

My prefered breed is Boxer. Full of character and a zest for life.

During the week I actually just decided I need soul therapy as I do not live in pta side at all.

I only stay here when I work for a few weeks.
I asked Laura@ La femme if I can have till 12 or something and then work.

I decided I will be doing something on my bucket list that I never got to experience. Heartbreakig but humble at the same time.

I went too the shops and just decided whatever amount of money I had over from my previous nights bookings I am going to spend it all on animals.
after that I actually decided I want too go to the SPCA.
So I did what I had to do , and asked them if I can just see the animals that are up for adoption.

Yet, I can not get a dog / cat now. Only want to move this side in August.
So I ended up going to every cage....
Trying to touch them as I passed.
My heart was happy and very emotional at the same time as I walked and saw the fear some of them had yet they still came for my attention.
I never realised how those words that all the shelters always say "THEY ARE AWAITING THEIR FOREVER HOME" they were like children knowing what was going on around them, trying to get my attention , being playfull etc.

I eventually went to the cats.
Each cage had different ages inside.
One cat actually climbed the fence so that He can get me attention...
As I walked out I came across large breed dogs felt like 1 was looking into my soul as I was almost by the gate of leaving and that same dogs just walked up and down looking at me the whole time (I did not know if I was allowed on that part of the cages, so I asked ) I went in the part of the cages and when I got to that dogs cage it just licked me alot... as it was calling me...


I took video's and showed my La Femme family.


When I come back I will adopt pets, and they will get all the love they can get! So Mu money that I gain from my bookings will go to events like that a certain amount each week.

I want to thank the punters that made that possible, I needed that touch of an animal first thing I thought about when I woke up.

I RESCUED A HUMAN TODAY by Janine Allen

Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her.

I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid. As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the overworked shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.

As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life.

She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well.

Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms.

I would promise to keep her safe.
I would promise to always be by her side.
I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes.

I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to be saved. At least I could save one.

I rescued a human today.
