Good morning, the news hitting our press over the last week, in regards to SA has been, to put it lightly, concerning. Is this just the press selling newspapers or is there merit to these 'stories'?

No, very concerning!
Our politicians are eager to repeat the Zim and Venezuela disasters.

Problem is the politicians will do anything for power. Poppulism is the easy answer when a large part of the population is so poor and uneducated. The poor think this will be heaven, and they have nothing tp lose.

But actually they have as much, if not more to lose. They will lose grants within 3 yrs, unemployment will rise to 80%+, and the little food that is there, will be extremely expensive.

But we seem eager to go that way.

As much as i dislike Trump, he may be the only one to bring back reality to SA. However some populists will argue to ignore him. Bringing us just quicker to starvation.

We have introduced free education. I read you get sm ctrs year to complete your education, sponsored by the taxpayer. Already more people getting grants than working.
We now want to extend healthcare for free at private sector levels.
Complete pipe dreams.

We are paying R400mil/DAY in imterst, and all the interest we pay we borrow... That sounds sustainable?

Now you want to tell Trump/USA to go jump off a cliff?

Thats why i say i give grants still max 3 yrs to go...unless we immediately stop stupid policies and get the economy to start growing again.

I am an ardent Trump supporter.
Frankly I see no hope for South Africa.
Liberals and their false ideology have brought about this sorry state of affairs in South Africa. And they all live overseas.

Same here.. funny how the anc stated plan to steal from their white citizens went from it's going to happen to a right wing conspiracy in that matter of one tweet.. unfortunately there is no cure for stupidity and we have a major case of stupid in our government, no way to stop them doing what they are gonna do..

Do yourself a favor and download the renegade report podcast with frans cronje to get a taste of what is really happening that our press dare not talk about..

Our poor country is on its knees.

Something drastic has to happen very soon.

I concur with you Ben Layden.

We are eventually going to have no farmers, which will result in importing food from other counties. Our currency already has no value. With everything that is going on, Countries are not going to want to invest in South Africa.

There is no future for our children! It is scary. So much happening behind the scenes that we do not even know about.

Thank you to all that have responded, I was hoping that it was just the press stirring up trouble again, but it would appear that these actions are real. This scares me as all we need to do is to look at Zim, which was the breadbasket of Africa, so if it happened there, it can happen to us. Being outside the country is very frustrating, knowing there is nothing I can do

Even if you were in the country you wouldn't be able to do anything.

We've always been at the mercy of the government. Let's hope common sense prevails.

Too many people have just giving up. We need to stand up and keep fighting for our kids future.
