Two hours?? In no way, shape or form is that ever acceptable. A different story if he kept you updated throughout and you both agreed on a later time if it was still feasible, but otherwise you did the right thing.
Example, I work in a high pressure environment where some days are filled with back to back meetings. Just today I had someone rock up 20 minutes late for meeting without any advance warning. I immediately cancelled and asked the person to reschedule.
It's just disrespectful and rude.
But what this guy did is not right and I think you will have a lot of guys agreeing with you
