Any one having issues in transferring funds offshore to SA. I made a transfer with value date 22 August 2019 and as today, nothing yet in my bank account.

PS: Is there not sufficient cash in the banks. Are they technically bankrupt. I am quite worried I must say.

I assume you talking about bringing money into SA. if so, check your online banking about uncleared transfers. This should give you a reference # which you can use to follow up with your bank.
Absa for examples notifies me via email but will only release the money after I called them and answered a whole bunch of questions to them...But its me who to have to call them as they will not call me but only notify me.
So you might want to check with your bank as the money should be in SA by now for sure.

No the South African banks are not bankrupt nor is there a shortage of cash. SA has a reasonably good banking system. Contact you bank, odds are you have not properly declared in terms of exchange control

Did you book your exchange rate, have you spoken to the dealing room. It is not done automatically

Jack...Which Bank?
Sometime the reserve bank singles out accounts for an audit...depending on the frequency of activity on the account.
Your personal/transactional banker should be on top of this...unless he/she is also browsing here.
