Thought I would try this topic out here given that the two vices are both addictions (sex and gambling) and seen in a similar light so to speak.
What started of as a whole lot of fun has deteriorated into a debilitating habit.
I've tried counseling and GA but nothing has really helped.
GA I could not keep up to as being amongst people who hit rock bottom simply freaked me out.
I still thoroughly enjoy it, but if I don't stop it will destroy me financially.
I can't even punt like I used to due to this.
Anyone willing to offer a word of advice or even support? Feel free to PM me, punters and WGs alike.

Gambling for me sounds worse cos u only stop once u broke. Punting on the other end ends (well temporarily) once u cum. Then u go home n go on with life until Johnny boy raises to the occasion again and the rest is history. LoL

I got the biggest shock of my life when I contacted a wg other day for rates and got quoted R1600 for the hour. Eish that is now a big hole. I guess if I cant afford it I should just wank and move on?
Sorry don't mean to derail this thread but could not help share my shock hehe

The first step to quitting is the self realization and admitting that you are addicted to gambling.

If you're married, give your spouse most of your income that's needed for the month.

Then use what's left over to donate to the casinos.
Once it's finished, it's finished.

In my field, we know exactly how the machines are programmed to pay out, so it's not luck when you win, you just have to be there at the right time.

Not meaning to derail this thread, but punting in Durban and KZN these days is very much like gambling (most punts are an "unlucky dip" packet, well for me anyway). I've come to expect to be scammed and receive the shittiest service from ladies who I visit here in Dbn, so in that way I'm not disappointed. These days I mostly take below average to crappy service from the working ladies in this part of the world with a smile. Not getting robbed or being forced to pay bribes to the corrupt fuzz after a punt is also a "win" at the "slot" machine for me. Lol.

In fact the chances of winning at Suncoast are higher than winning with most punts here in Durbz, imho.

Habits takes days to establish but months to quit.. Everything in your life style that helped to cultivate that habit should be addressed.. The route you drive home..is that past a casino..? Change it.. The people you hangout with do they gamble? Avoid them.. Find a replacement activity..punting is a good one.;) atleast you are 90% guaranteed to hit a home run and win;).. get a buddy u can call up when the urge hits and go do something else.. And yes if it really bad make someone else your financial manager.. Limit your access to funds. So you will have to think and justify the need for that money before dipping into the wallet.. Its like quitting a bad relationship.. You have to step far away from it to see how good life can be without it..

To stop any addiction you have to go to the source and deal with the problem otherwise you will never get rid of the problem
