Yes this does seem to be the nature of the adult industry in general from what I've read - in porn they even have the phrase "gay for pay" which is just recognition that financial gain usually comes from entertaining gay men to some extent. There's a bunch of interesting reasons why paying for sex is a 99% male thing.

Not that I'm in any position to advise of course, but have you considered maybe moving up north (e.g. Sandton). I think if you can work for a popular venue - not only will you get more exposure but you could also develop good working relationships with SPs and cater for group-sex etc. Your current location only makes this more difficult in my personal opinion, but I could be wrong.

I think you have to expand what you do and where you advertise it. If you have massage qualifications consider using that as a marketing ploy.

... there has only been about 3 males, that I can think of, who made it past their 1st ad. One of them being Josh who is the only current advertiser who has more than one photoshoot, so he has lasted longer than most. Now that doesnt mean you cannot make it. But you are gonna have to up your advertising and exposure and as suggested changing areas might work.

I get the impression you are disillusioned. I have always believed that in this industry a male has to be open to m2m services. There really isnt many female clients for a male. Don't view m2m in a negative light. Keep an open mind and relax into it. You dont have to suck or fuck, it could just be massage, b2b and happy ending. You will need to adapt if you are gonna make money here. Is it really so bad to do m2m if that would be the ones replying to your ad? If the answer is yes, then you will have to rethink how and where would be best for you.

Sorry to hear that man. Interesting to hear how it is from a straight guy in this industry.

Hope things turn around for you. I think as modnar mentioned, location is a big part of the problem.

Also, this is predominantly a female industry. Remember most women can get a hot guy to massage them and more for free right so most will not pay for it. You need to expand and do way way more than the typically guy to make it special to try and find somethings to make a booking with you special.

As a white male and having been a male stripper in my younger years, all i can say is you have to adapt. Do what you feel comfortable with. Most money we made was actually from guys, we had some bachelorette parties noe and then but some of our best customers for lapdance and so on were men. You can try for happy ending massage.
