a corner quiet
a corner serene
a corner mine
where no-one has been.
to understand that serenity
many cannot grasp
the noise the din of their spoken words
on my ears a painful clasp.
to know to sit in silence quiet
oneself like and be at peace
very few on Mother Earth
in ones own company at ease.
how rewarding to have the eve to oneself
and hear the settling of the night
tick tick ticking as the city goes to sleep
my mind too, to rest does take its flight.
