And so it seems my love of deep rooted culture, the respect for tradition that gives a sound base to who one may be , those discussions have stayed with a "lover" I met once in Bedfordview many moons ago, left their lasting impression on him.

Messages from far away , over years, reminding me over and over again why I have a deep love of all that Bollywood ( yes....Bollywood) stands for, for me.

Class distinction.
Unrequited love.
Back stabbing.
Beautiful women and men and....the finest of woven cloth!

Colour.

Exuberance.

Dance!

....family.

It is a movie sort of "love affair" him and I have.
Sporadic Bollywood type of messages to awaken to...putting a huge smile on my face and many times a jovial laugh to gurgle forth from the pit of my tummy, lightening my morning step.

Ours is not a sort of "love affair" that requires an ending of being together or, of an happily ever after.

Ours is that escape into fantasy most rewarding in its no demand or expectation.



And then...THAT which we spoke about many many times.....beautiful woven cloth from India.


My "lover", my "Bollywood lover",my one time meet, my enigma from across the Indian ocean, has spoilt me with a saree from the continent of India.

I am in love.

No. Not that sort of love with the man but, rather, all he represents in my fascination with deep rooted tradition and customs.

He knows to feed my hunger with words and song...song he sings to me....smile.


Siggghhhh.

My spirit flies high, my spirt is romantic even though I am a hard ass pragmatic.
