JZ is really giving us all a big fat FU and doing just as he pleases, this is more than a little fucked up and he gets away with it.

yes but only the man who did It should flush his own poo. its a wonder to me why the geniuses in the Press say Nenes' dismissal is a mystery.Just the performance of the Rand is reason enough.

I highly doubt Nene is to blame for our economic woes....
He had nothing to do with Eskom plunging our country into darkness....
Our water pumps not being maintained and our sewage running into our dams and rivers.
He was the person that stood up to Zuma's newly appointed CEO friend by denying her that leasing deal between boeing and some dodgy middle man company....
Nene was the guy that wasn't to keen on this 100 billion dollar nuclear power plant....
If anything I think he has done an outstanding job in a very harsh and political environment.....
Our government has decided to back the Russians and the Chinese and step away from the Western powers because the Western powers are more in line with democracy, whereas the Chinese and Russian governments do not care about thing such as human rights or democracy.....
There isn't a plan on saving the economy in this country because the chaos suits the people just fine that want to loot it......

As we are a member of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa), it is not surprising to see us align ourselves with China and Russia.
One of its (BRICS) key goals is to encourage commercial, political and cultural cooperation between the BRICS nations, with bilateral relations conducted on the basis of non-interference, equality, and mutual benefit.
In recent developments, BRICS countries have agreed to create a global financial institution which they intend to rival the western-dominated IMF and World Bank and provide for a new global reserve currency, which would have to be "diversified, stable and predictable".
It has nothing to do with aligning ourselves with "non-democratic powers" but a conscious attempt by leaders representing 3 billion people worldwide to try and break away from the West's dominance of the world's financial institutions and to provide an alternative.

No issues in us becoming a member of BRICS if it is beneficial for us.....
In saying that though why have we chosen to align ourselves with countries that are well known for their human rights violations.... Brazil and India are well documented for its corruption activities and well Russia and China also have corruption issues as well as human rights issues ....
Is it in our best interest for us to swim with the sharks ?
Is our government really interested in joining the BRICS bank because it feels that it is in the best interest of the people of this country or the best interest of the few that run this country who can gain for themselves financially...
I hardly feel your reasoning for saying that it is for bilateral relations such as non interference and equality and mutual benefit as we all know that those words don't really comply with some of the countries that we are joining in this venture .....
You may be right in saying that this bank will be useful to us for one thing and that is arranging a 100 Billion dollar loan for this dodgy Nuclear power deal that we are currently trying obtain which has more than likely not been to easy to get out of the IMF and the World bank because they actually realize that we don't have the money to actually pay for it and because the whole project as such has been guarded with such secrecy....

After the plundering of the African continent's resources by the West and propping up of dictators and tyrants to facilitate this, most of us Africans have no qualms in "swimming with the sharks".

Last time I had a look China owned most of Africa....
Where do our Rhino horns end up ?
How many mines have sprung up in Africa that are owned by the Chinese ?
Why has our manufacturing and the steel industry in this country collapsed ? (cheap imports)
I think you have to understand my point here..... Yes our country has been abused a lot by the West and by the East and so on ..... Problem is that a few people have benefited from this and those few people are the people that have been chosen by us to run this country and look after the people that are in it...
So bud if you wanna swim with the sharks let me know when, so we can arrange a couple of our corrupt officials to come and swim with you ...

China has arrived on the African continent almost a century after the horse has bolted.
As we have been reminded so many times, us Africans are not the greatest swimmers, hence we did not swim with the previous corrupt sharks who made deals with the West, to the exclusion of the majority of South Africans but our swimming is improving so we'll take our chances.
