diplomas,degrees, PHD's, et are available for next to nothing on the net.
We have many high profile examples in our country.
What is worth a degree, or any other qualification, if not used in the specific field???
Degrees obtained by correspondence (in my personal opinion) are worthless.
I have never and will never offer a position to any applicant with those type of credentials. (my principle).
