Need advice;
Visited a wg (I'll avoid name for now whilst I figure this out) for the first and only time, just before xmas. Her profile is now "not renewed".
She subsequently texted me 2x (now blocked) over xmas. I replied once saying "don't text me".
Last night I get a phone call 930pm from a number I didn't recognise, followed by a text "please call ____ on ___". Now, the name and number in the text match another wg on this site, from the same area - probably the same house. However the number that called me isn't on this site.

Is anyone aware of a con that starts like this? An attempt at extortion perhaps?

I would suggest getting a discreet phone (or SIM) as a first step to protect yourself from these type of situations.

Not a con. The ladies are just hungry for biz. You blocked her number, she simply called you from another phone. Get a simple phone you can use for punting only.

If you feel strongly about this, report it to ESA admin. Perhaps they can intervene on your behalf.

dunno how many times its been said on the forum to use separate cheap phone for punting only. even if you are single. if you dont want a second phone at least get a separate sim card.

maybe she just likes you,take the call and find out before you send of alarm bells

Thanks guys. It is indeed a safe sim, and I think the comment that they're desperate for biz is correct. Sad, she was a hottie, and I would have gone back if it wasn't for this lack of professionalism :)

This happened to me over Christmas too.

The sad thing is it came from the a very well known and respected WG in Centurion.

I hate that! Needless to say I will not visit her again.

if it was on a safe, separate sim and she's a hottie then I wouldnt care at all, I'll still visit her if I enjoy her company.

there is a boksburg hottie who always sms me or misscalls me on my punting number and I never respond. i still book her as usual and we never even bring up those smses.

Last week I again found another SMS from Divine on my punting sim. There was no opt out. I pity anyone who hasn't yet taken the advice of getting the spare phone / sim.
