Ok, so some loser on ESA sold my number to "cops". I have my suspicion as to who it is but without knowing I cannot name that person(s).

The number comes from a scumbag who claims to be a cop on number 076 509 8095 (Phineas Mokolobane Nkosi).

He said a case was opened against me and he was "helping me". An "escort" was caught with "fake notes at a shopping centre" and she said I allegedly paid her with this money and a case was opened against me...yeah right

This is how you know they are fake:

1. When requested multiple times for the badge number and station, they refused. THEY HAVE TO DISCLOSE THIS!
2. Using wrong terminology such as "fake notes" - dead giveaway
3. Starting the convo with "....I am here to help you"
4. Saying things such as 'tracing your number'. Sorry but you need a court order/warrant
5. Couterfeit currency crimes normally go to a different branch of SAPS (if they even have resources to do this these days)



Impersonating a police officer is a crime and this is extortion so I have requested my lawyer to open a criminal case. Anyone "selling" numbers to these syndicates is aiding and abetting this criminal lot. So all ladies out there selling numbers, you are going to be in big sh%t when caught!

Search the forum. All uve said has been said over and over again. We just dont care anymore if someone get a call from these fake police.
Numerous times it has been mentioned to get a punter phone.
You didnt get scammed by the fake police. But u wil def get scammed by your lawyer.

Can u tell us what criminal case did the lawyer open. The exact wording.
Was it for impersonating a police officer or because a girl sold ur numbers.
That wil be interesting to hear.
And how much did the lawyer charge u for something he knows wont result to anything.

Yeah, this is the modus operandi. Thankfully you know your stuff, other people haven't been so lucky.

The best advice for punters is to use a punting SIM. That's probably worked its way to rule #1 of this game.

This happened to me today, and I feel so stupid. Got taken for a few grand.

I'm not a frequent punter, so I don't read the forum. I saw someone yesterday for the first time in a year. Got a call today from a Cpt Van Rooyen with the same story about fake notes. Apparently the woman was in tears after being arrested for fake notes, and then turned around and "opened a case" against me for GBV. She's being examined by 3 doctors and the doctors, prosecutor and station commander all need to be paid off. They "could see" that I have a clear record and want to help.

There was apparently a warrant of arrest, and they were going to send someone to pick me up. I panicked because the family is home so I had to go outside and didn't have a chance to cross check any info. Lesson learnt, burner phones.

I sent links to articles of the scam and blocked the number on my phone and WhatsApp.

What's sad is I will never again visit a working girl. It's a shame that honest ladies will be affected as this stuff keeps happening, but I can't risk this coming up in front of the family and I imagine others might feel the same too.
