Sitting at home having a Comfort to the Southern on the rocks with a dash of lime, listening to Rodriguez and reflecting back on this year that was 2017! I keep thinking what a year? Feeling a little melancholy but serene? Actually drifting through an array of emotions. Celebrating how much I have accomplished in studying and my personal achievements. New friendships! Also thinking of loved ones I have lost. So many thoughts and feelings!
But then I listen to the powerful words of Sixto. I have watched Searching for the Sugarman so many times I could probably tell you the story backwards.
Maybe it's age, maturity or experience, but the words of his songs hit places in my heart and soul completely differently to the way they did 20 odd years ago?
I can't even pick one song as my favourite as I love them all!
Do you have a favourite Rodriguez song, what is it? And Why?
And what were your highs and lows of 2017?

Mine too but I avoid listing anything with the title of narcotics, lol. For obvious reasons.

If you have not yet, try and watch the movie "Walk the Line". One of those movies you can watch over and over & find value/lessons and/or inspiration from it.
