how the mystery of a deep night does beckon and invite.
rustling sounds of movement, unidentifiable.
could it be your footsteps?...your quiet approach?...your wish to surprise me...?
how wonderful a fantasy that out of my dreams u might step!
but not possible...the night has swallowed u and holds u prisoner
far far away from me.
the grasp of distance keeps us apart tonight.
and thus, i ask, of the stars above, to look out for u
and mirror the image of me
and place it in your minds eye...
the way i sit
the way i wait
... my nakedness desirous.

RB, you have such a lovely way with words. And I love words and the way you string them together. Sometimes I wish I was able to use them more creatively but my creativity lies elsewhere.
