One of my many shortfalls in life is that I like giving. In many ways and to many parties. Eg, I'll give an old Canon lens (since I've gone Sony) and the guy looks happy. Without me asking, he says:"I'll send you photos I take with this". Still waiting.
In purple, I will give something sexy, and she will say:" oo! Nice, I'll send you a photo/video". Still waiting

And before you say I should give without expecting, I don't expect! I thoroughly enjoy when I do get some later evidence, but I don't expect it. I've learned that what to me is common decency, is not to be assumed, so I no longer expect that later feedback.

However!!! If I did not ask, but s/he volunteered to offer to send me a Pic, or let me know what the outcome of the blood test was (for which I paid), then I DO expect. Not because I gave, but because I expect you to keep your word.

Why is it so difficult just to stick to your own undertaking???
