It was a different sort of CT yesterday. It felt like a city without its people.
The litter swept and swirled around by the wind and, the gulls scavenging from the overfull dustbins
A Monday so different from the day before.
In wanting ones own rights to be acknowledged lies the responsibility of acknowledging other peoples rights.
In having a government that has, with its treasonous actions of corruption and state capture, brought a Nation and its economy to its knees , how does one enforce the rule of the law?
How does one turn the clock back and try, try very very hard to come as close as possible to enforcing boundaries for the good of society on the whole?
How does one gain the trust and confidence of a people that have been lied to, deceived and stolen from by the very people they believed would be in the forefront of freedom and equality for all?
How does one win over the support and understanding of a people that are egged on in believing segregation is the only way, be it xenophobic, tribal, racial.
The effects of criminality that has gripped a nation way before the dawn of democracy in 1994...SA was sold to the highest bidder, by the ANC, a long long time ago.
One person's revolution may not be another's but, in the act of fighting for something better , the hope is always to win the good battle.
Only time can tell if it was a good battle...and in the case of SA....was equality the battle or was the battle for self enrichment and a "soft" sort of dictatorship the true goal?
