GED (+SAT) or Cambridge which in your opinion is the better option?

In South Africa I've noticed Cambridge is the most popular choice among home schoolers?

It is or at least was since I started homeschooling my son. As it is most recordnisable in South Africa.
Though recently I have read that there is now a South African recordnised GED(+SAT) programme and was wondering about this as it's almost time for my son to decide if he is going to carry on with Cambridge or if he is going to change to a less stressful GED (+SAT) programme.

I educated both of my daughters at great expense via the IEB and have no regrets.
