So what's gonna happen with the people who has contracts and WiFi?
They say it's Millions in debt. (Talking under correction)
Didn't know Afrihost was part of cell c.

Billions actually..... don't think they will go down anytime soon, but where there is smoke, there must be fire......

Just don't renew your contract or if you're on pay as you go just get your number 'ported' to a different service provider....

As far as I know, AFRIHOST has deal with MTN, not CellC.

If they cannot get additional funding and declare bankruptcy then one of the other players will buy them out. They would have to take over the contracts so I would not worry too much. Their spectrum licence is worth more than any consumer contract liability.

MTN bought the majority of the Afrihost shares and then sold them back.

Contract numbers can also be ported (but you have to buy out the balance of the contract).

The spectrum is valuable - but cannot be acquired without competition approval. Rather expect a roaming deal, most likely with MTN.

Afrihost offered some fixed LTE packages on the cell C network.

That also offer then on Telkom.

Cell C has always been in debt from the time they started as far as I know yet they're still up and running.

My point is, there is absolutely no way that they will go into liquidation. They will make a deal one way or another.
