So it finally happened to me, I helped a lady out financially before a booking. Now when push comes to shove, there will be no pushing.

Unfortunately the lady in question does not have an active ad at the moment.

I think what upsets me most is that, I feel like an utter fool and can only be angry at myself.

Ladies who do these things, be careful, one day you will do this to someone who is not as forgiving as I am.

Gents although there are some really amazing woman on this site, most of them only care about your wallet. Apologies to the really amazing woman who take pride in themselves and their work

what she was also not keeping in mind is that she ruins it for all. cases like these make folks scared of helping. who of us can say we were never down and out and needed a favour?
my advice is keep on being the "fool". our world needs your kind of "fool"!
it is on her. think of it like tax: paid but received no service delivery ;-)

I am terribly sorry but you cant categorise the ladies. I have never taken any form of payment upfront as yet. But I can assure you that if I had to, the booking would be met no matter what.

We have all been there done that and hard lesson learnt, feel your pain...sorry to hear this...agree with ystervark...I stopped that a long time ago!!

As ystervark mentioned the bad spoils it for everyone.

And yes I will probably be the fool again for helping, next time just a lot more careful.

@Katvis -- sorry that it happened to you. I've been there a couple of times and I know how pissed off it makes a guy. Don't blame yourself for trying to help, it means you have a good heart and it was taken advantage of.

Best to put it behind you and write it off as school fees sir. Lesson learnt.

It's all about the money at the end of the day. Leave your feelings and heart in your car with your wallet and phones.

Sorry this happened to you but you men are not the only victims.

I had a regular client who could get Samsung Smart TV's at a really good price. I had, what I assumed was proof, of all the people he helped get TV's. It was not a cheap TV either. I gave him the deposit, then the excuses started, one after the other...never got the TV, never saw him again. What a disappointment this man ended up being. I even asked for my deposit back, which I knew was never coming...I said he obviously needed the money more than me.
Once again, a lesson learned, and it's not just being in this industry, men and women, will disappoint you always, just wait for it, it will happen.
No wonder so many of us are jaded!
