Ever since I have been walking which has been since late October last year I just have become so motivated to do more and more. It has had so many benefits to my overall health. I am full of energy and look forward each and every morning to my walk to start my day.

When I started I was excited about doing 2km @ 3.8km an hour. Now three months later I am doing over 8km @ 6.7 to 9km an hour. I actually find myself jogging in areas of my route.

I have a question for anyone that does walking or running. Is it normal to have cramp in the arch of your foot and what can I do to assist the pain. It has been for a week now that my left foot arch is very sore.

Looking forward to any advice please.

Get fitted for a proper training shoe if you are not already wearing one

I'm a triathlete. Having done many endurance races I have had cramps many times. It's comes with the territory. Your muscles are not yet used to such activity and at the same time you are sweating so you're losing magnesium electrolytes and vitamins and minerals.

Make sure you get enough sleep to recover and start takeing natural food to help compensate for the lack of sodium magnesium electrolytes etc. for eg bananas spinach avocado unsweetened yoghurt broccoli and mix nuts.

There are also supplements you can take ask the staff at diskem

Hope this helps

Rather speak to the people at Total sport, Edgars does not really cater for proper running or walking shoes.

Legitimately read 'wanking' and was obviously disappointed when I clicked on the post.
Dirty minded by default. My bad.
