Maybe this isn't new to some of you... but for those who never knew... like myself... hope this is very good advice...

So yes... my S8 personal phone was stolen from me... there was contact numbers and notes and personal stuff that could get in the wrong hands... even if Vodacom black list the phone and do a sim swap, there is still a way to get hold of private information... anyway... A guy from Vodacom told me to call Sumsang as well... just to make sure...

So I called Sumsang and explain my dilemma... they asked me to come in with my current phone... They loaded an app called "Find my device" on my work phone... enter my phone number from the stolen phone and wipe that phone with everything on it... I havent lost a thing due to my Google account but all my information was wiped from the stolen phone...

Hope this might help others in the same situation...

iPhones also have this feature - Find my iPhone. Just make sure it's always turned on.

This feature has been around for a very long time!
