Is it by any means a realistic assumption that if you condomise and follow basic safety precautions that you will never pick up a malady of some sort?

There appears to be a lot of veterans who has done this for decades without any problems.

Or is it an inevitable occupational hazard that has to be periodically managed.

If you want to become a veteran, it is wise to condomise.

There are no guarantee that Condoms will stop STD, but it does reduce the risk of getting an STD

This is a risky business, so don't compromise - condomise. It does help with the risk, but there are other factors as well. It is one of the reasons many ladies do Oral with a condom, and many don't kiss new clients.

Do some screens on yourself from time to time (get those Vitality points lol) and remember: if it smells fishy, get out ;)

Condoms if used correctly is pretty safe. Always make sure it is put on correctly, correct side with a little space at the tip and rolled down all the way to the base. Dont let the lady use vaseline or any body lotion as lubricant as that could easily tear the condom, only water based lubricants should be used. It is surprising that there are still ladies that dont know this and I warn them when I see them take out the vaseline. Also, dont think that you can only catch an STD by going inside of her unprotected, rubbing your uncovered cock over her clit and through her pussy lips is highly risky and one could easily catch an STD like that. Also take the condom off yourself and cover your hands with toilet paper to ensure that you dont touch the outside of the condom which could be filled with bacteria and then your cock. It's also advisable to empty your bladder before and after sex as it reduces the risk of infection.

I know I sound paranoid, but its easy to catch something if you dont take proper care.

True Burfi. I forgot to mention that for some nasty STD's a condom wont help. Some of those are incurable.
