Its really for two or three of the decent customer centric service providers to hop onto a R599 Safair flight, and book into a decent R500 p/dy lodge and make hay with a massive lift in turnover which will offset the costs of the exercise

Here in the Mother City, we pay Mountain Tax. So if you're thinking all dreamy eyed about relocating to Snoek Town, be aware.
For the price of having beautiful mountains, some of the best beaches in the world, a very well run City Council, wine farms, stunning looking girls (none of whom are wg's) YOU WILL PAY MOUNTAIN TAX.
Mountain Tax is the difference between the pay you'd get in Gautenf as compare to the pittance we earn down here. Business opportunities are fewer, (Gauteng has 80% of the economy) and cost of living is higher.
A real example of the Mountain Tax I am paying right now:
I am sitting in my lounge, a glorious view of the mountains surrounds me, and long white clean beach is 7 minutes away.
BUT......
I also have a grand in one pocket, and Viagra in the other, and not one decent looking wg that appeals to my sense of taste, that costs less than R1800. Go figure ! Even a "wank on a plank" at a reasonably upmarket Pluk Palour starts at R1100.
So Upcountry People, spare a thought for the ones who pay VAT, PAYE, Petrol Levy, City rates, Sugar tax. AND Mountain Tax.
