Pain lots of pain. Unless you take the pain pills. The ones they give is very strong. And because of my work I was not allowed to use something that strong. (It stays in the blood for upto 40 days).
Besides the pain. Yoi dont really see much for the first 5 or so days. Very blurry. And your sight only really reachers its 100% peek after about 2 months.
Good luck with the pain.

In general these ops are very safe, you should not worry about it.
A Medical Dr once told me, that the only time to worry is, if the Doc doing the operation wearing glasses that looks like the bottom of a Coke Bottle.
The first day or so the eyes me feel little irritated but then it is fine. Stay away from sharp lights.
Best to do your sessions in a dark room and use your hands, mouth and nunu to do the feeling, no looking. Just do it.

What are you having done?
I had one years ago. I took the pain pills to sleep cos I was bored. Couldn't read or watch tv (no bright lights). Its not a big deal. My eyes just felt gritty. No pain as such. I had a radial keratotomy. Today the same procedure is done by laser only.
