I am still looking for that Joyriding in a Tank experience. A gentleman told me about a free state farm owned by a collector that for a limited time once a year opens his farm for people to ride and play his collection of tanks and trains etc ...

Does anyone know of this place and can provide me with any information?? Pretty please. With such a diverse community here in the Purple World, someone must know something ....

But I am very specifically looking for an experience Joyriding in a Tank. Must include the chance to blow stuff up!

Must say I imagined you more of a lover than a fighter but I'd certainly allow you to "blow stuff up" in my tank if I had one.

Apart form that I'm also quite open to Joyriding - either in a tank or on a 4 poster bed ... let's make it happen.

Good evening V,the place the other toppie referred to is called the Sandstone Estate, located close to Clarens, Freestate. Once a year they have a weeklong festival featuring old cars,trains, planes and tanks. They even have a Rooikat in working condition, which is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, there is no shooting of ordinance, as it is a very dangerous activity. For some bunker busting explosions, you will have to attend a shooting practice held every year at the De Brug SANDF shooting range,about 40 km out of Bloemfontein. They open the gates for 1 day during the event for the public.I went last year for the night practice and it was a lot of fun, but made me realise how awful a full scale war would be. BUT standing behind a Olifant tank shelling a target 5 km away is pretty awesome.I hope the information is useful and I suggest to watch social media regarding the above mentioned events. Cheers

Ya, War is a terrible thing that hopefully none of us here will have the misfortune of experiencing ... But they do make nice toys to play with ...
