And will I tell you that these three lived happily ever after? I will not, for no one ever does. But there was happiness. And they did live.


So finally finished book number seven. It has to be one of the best epic fantasy series ever penned. This author is absolutely on a different level.

I'm starting Winds next. Then probably some of the other once connected to the series. I also read Child Ro... To the D.... To.... Came. It's a difficult read but I enjoyed it.

Just wanted to right this post and say thanks for the advice to not watch the movie before finishing the books.

I am going to wait 5 years and then read it again. It's always better the second time around.

I am also rereading A Song Of Ice And Fire this year.

You not talking about the bloody Tower series are you?? Books started so well and kept a person hanging right through until you realise that its going no-where. I mean when an author feels obliged to pen an apology to readers for the way it ended. Wont even bother with the movie. And Of course, I HAD to finish the bloody series because you just have to finish -- aarggh ... lol

Just wanted to get the opinion of someone that actually read the books and not a movie person.

As said before,I loved it. The ending leaves it open to further discuss perhaps on S.K side.
You are right that it got a little tough in the middle but it was good to get to some form of a conclusion at the end.

Can you suggest anything new to read.

I used to read voraciously but my eyes dont work so well anymore .... lol I havent actually read a book in ages. My last one was by the Dalai lama Soa book he wrote about being happy. Enjoy the SOng of Fire & Ice

ASOIAF was my first big read. I also very much enjoyed it.I am currently working on Lord of the rings.
I suppose I just love the Fantasy
