So I was in Cape Town on business last week, and on the spur of the moment a bunch of us decided to hit the town. The name that came up (and that was the closest to where we were staying) was Cherries in Bellville. (previously Teazers, I believe). So off we Uber'd...

This was my first time in a strip club in MANY years, and I have to say it was a fun experience.

How about some feedback on CURRENT strip club venues around the country, what work's and what doesn't. Good and bad experiences? With 'Cherries' my only real reference, how would it compare to other clubs you've recently experienced?

I don't know... there's just something magical about a beautiful woman on a pole an arm's length from you. Or is that just me?

I think it's just you boss.

Once you are an addicted to punani punter then strip clubs is a complete waste of money. The same money that could have paid for an awesome session/s of punting.
I used to like Mavericks and The Grand. Teasers always sucked the couple times I been there many years ago

Lol, thank you @Rasgulla.

I get that there is value in a decent punt over just watching a girl dance. I was just reflecting on the 'art' of it. It's a beautiful thing to watch. And basically free except for your drinks. ;)

Boss, ok I understand where you comin from.

Even tho the last time I been in a strip club in SA was 2009, at The Grand, Id say that if you looking for that "art" of kaalgat pole dancing then from my experience Mavericks was the best. And Rasputin if it still exists.

Teazers always drew a kak crowd. And the girls were full of shit and back then.

SophistiCats in London is a maadhir top strip club. No skanks trying to lazily spin around a pole taking the patrons for a gat.

If ever I get the opportunity to go to USA, I'd love to go visit Spearmint Rhino club in Las Vegas!

Strip clubs are a waste of time and money, but every now and then I get bored and venture out into uncharted waters.

Lollipop lounge quality has dropped.. and price is up. Looking a bit sad. Mavericks still always good fun and reasonable. Haven't been TO CHERRIES. the grand was always nice but hectic expensive. Teazers not the same since Lolly died. Anywhere else of interest?

Fair enough. :) So to be fair, the review will be a bit 'reserved' due to the fact that 2 ladies from work tagged along with 6 guys. (I know, blasphemy). Obviously the boys were a little more well behaved than usual due to this.

The venue Cherries in Bellville is apparently the old Teazers, just revamped and probably under new management. The interior is eye-catching, with neon lighting, illuminated poles on the tables, a LOT of mirrors and spacious comfortable seating. The place wasn't packed when we were there (it was a Tuesday evening) but there were still a fair amount of patrons scattered around. Some smaller groups of 3 or 4 and even one or two Lone Rangers.

The girls were an eclectic mix of stunningly hot and totally frumpy and even scary looking. However, there was enough eye candy to keep one happy. Girls danced every hour on the hour on stage, and obviously they hovered around the tables trying to get table dances inbetween. A table dance sets you back R300, which is not too bad if there are a few of you, as you get up close and personal. The girls all had different dancing styles, and the chaps at our table chose one cute dancer who did a decent job, but I personally had my eye on a VERY sultry lady who danced at a nearby table. Never got the chance to see her up close and personal though, but will do on my next visit to CT.

The drinks are crazy expensive, of course. But that's to be expected.
