Just bumped into an ex girlfriend of a close friend of mine ...now let me tell you this guy treated this woman like a queen and she cheated on him ...left the guy devasted ....they were 2 months away from a marriage when she was caught. The guy still tried to make it work and she left him hanging. During the conversation with her today she told me that the guy she left my buddy for had left her. She mentioned some hetic stuff that she dealt with while with this guy. She looked bad for somone who always prided herself on her looks.

People sometimes can be very selfish and life is such that sometimes you will only appreciate something when it's not there . Was sad to see her like that but in all honesty she never behaved like a person who appreciated what she had when she had it and her actions accounted for that...

Moral of the story...the grass isn't always greener on the other side ...appreciate those who love you and be kind to people for you will never know when you might need them again

This is so true. The sad thing is this happens so regularly.

Same thing happened to me years ago. She also cheated on me with a complete arsehole who dumped her ass less than a year after I gave her the boot.

So yeah, karma really does know how to kick back.

It's all good yolan ;) Looking back there's no regrets, for me things turned out for the better.

This part really resonates, something every single person should live by. Life is way too short and the years just fly by.

Yeah for sure Gav.
You cannot control how somebody's else behaves and I think it just boils down to who we are as people .
But life certainly has a way of teaching people what they need to learn

Yip, happened to me before.
It's not that you wished her a bad experience after she thought it was better with the other guy, just that she would find happines in the new relationship.

A single mom of 2 kids (with 2 different fathers who never paid maintanence ) struggling to make ends meet - she could have had it all.

It's one thing to be unhappy and looking for something better cause the relationship is not working and another thing to be using , lying , cheating and being ungrateful to somone who loves and cherishes you . On that level there is no justification

I think people get so caught up in the "wanting more" lifestyle, that they forget to stop, reflect and give gratitude to what they have. Men are more prone to this than women, we all get bored with our wives, the rolls start showing, the sex becomes boring and monotonous, so we look for something more interesting and exciting. Been there done that. I have a simple rule now, if you are prepared to lose everything you have right now, than go ahead and take the risk with someone younger and more exciting, grass looks greener, but hey, it's the same thing you're standing on.
