I heard them this week. From a beautiful young lass that is currently employed, with a pension fund and medical aid and a housing allowance. And not a bad salary.

Why I ask in astonishment ?

Because I can earn more money.

Yes I said, initially yes, but only for a limited time. What then ?

I will worry about that then.


This has been debated so many times, but I am too tired to go look for the old threads about it.

GK : Told her she is mad, and that she will end up in the gutter after she was used and abused by all. Her current job is safe and secure. My advice went into one ear and out the other. That blank look that means that she was thinking about something else while I was pontificating. And she was a star student in school. A's all around, so no lack of brains.

Which brings me to the age old song and dance of ladies that state that they had no option, and that this life is the only one that can sustain them.

I don't buy that anymore. Not for advertisers on this site. Here it is a choice. Your choice. But that is my opinion, and I am sure that there are as many opinions as there are advertisers.
