In the spirit of hump day, I thought this would be an interesting one. Some of us cannot wait for the gawd damn week to end and some of us are just getting into the week...eager and ready for whatever comes.

So Im just curious... we all obviously have means of earning some sort of income but do you actually genuinely love what you do?
are you happy? are you passionate? and if not...what steps are you taking towards being in a better "space"

Like my job 90%+ of the time (in the financial industry). Even when not at work, i read and think about it (and almost always because i love it).

There are only occasional admin/management stuff i hate.

There are moments I love with my job.
The completion of a project.
Meeting interesting chaps around the world.
Traveling.

There are moments I hate.
The deadlines and fuck ups along the way (hate my fuck ups more than others).
Traveling.

Passion yes, but like a sharp blade it gets dull with every cut, it does get sharpened with moments in life that kick starts your perspective of life and of yourself.

Would I give it up to pursue other dreams? Maybe if the pay was enough.. but I am happy were I am at for now.

Hate every minute of work. Except for the sms notificatio n on pay day. After 18 years can say Corporate life sucks but the pay is excellent. Being in a managerial role has other perks but I was recently educated on the underlying reasons why bdsm interests me, appears sometime you need to be on the other side of the one in charge.

What to do to change, well plans in place to step out the confort zone and start up my own business.. do what you love and you never work a day they say.

I can't say that what I do, is a job lol! But I just love it! Very few people can say they are getting paid for what they love doing most xoxo

Pretty much sums me up (except for the BDSM part. Not my thing).

I studied poes hard at university and did lots of certifications my career path eventually took which definitely helped in the salary dept.
I can probably do better pay wise elsewhere in same field but I'm in a super comfort zone. This is one of the reasons I'm kinda happy with my job because I'm the laziest maadhir under the sun and always try to delegate and pass on projects to the more eager beavers. My company allows me lots of "day time escape times" and I abuse it to the max. Just for yesterday's punting time I simply told the PA that I'm off to meet with the Arbor guys then another meeting with Cisco. And off I went.

But I would actually love to have my own company or do a start-up with someone. Corporate life sucks. Just the pay cheque and annual bonus makes me happy.

Great question tho Zoe. I would actually dare say that probably 70% of people hate their jobs.

Both I love the money I meet a amazing people I enjoy the shopping the photo shoots the cloths get paid to love what I enjoy. Working my own clients gifts dinner dates shoes cloths. I honestly do love it however there is always a price to pay in one form or another.

The way I see it, we spend the bulk of our life at work, so if you are doing something that does not bring you joy, then it is best to rather do something else if possible, even if it pays less...

I run a few businesses. They all started of as hobbies/interests, which I was very passionate about and I turned them into businesses, which are all doing reasonably well and it pays for almost all of my living expenses.

I am quite passionate about my massage business as well and absolutely love doing massages, but I know that I can't do massages forever, so I'm currently working on a 4 year plan, after which I will be able to turn another one of my interests also into a business.

After that I can do massages very much part time if I still want to do so or I may decide to quit altogether, I will cross that bridge when I get there.
