Is this borderline rape?

I don't think it classifies as borderline rape - hbviper used the word " willing " which would imply that the participants are all consensual adults. Also, safe words should be used - and honored - so that if the participants are uneasy they can opt out... @hbviper, as for it working in SA, as a rule, I find the general population too pious and narrow minded, and although I don't think it's entirely out of the realms of possibility, I do think you're going to have a tough time getting willing participants, especially as trust is also a key element. I've been to a bdsm club with an ex friend and ex bf. While I enjoy a bit of kinky I did find the people in the club (not a generalisation, just what I observed) to be very disrespectful of others limits, safe words etc. The people in charge were very much guilty of it too.

So while it may be a fantasy for some (admittedly something I would probably enjoy immensely) It can easily become a tricky situation if things get even slightly out of hand.

It's sad that you experienced disrepect, but I guess it's like anything else - there are always a few bad apples that ruin an experience by going one step too far, and I think that is exactly why so few people are keen to try it. I have been to and participated in a number of BDSM parties while travelling overseas. I find the Europeans far more open minded and as mentioned respectful of boundaries and safe words.

What most don't fully comprehend, is that the Sub/Slave really has all the control - as he/she allows what is done to them, and the moment a safe word is used it means stop immediately! ( although some people do make use of two words, where one is to indicate the sub is close to reaching a limit and the second means stop immediately)
