How did you go about renting a House through an agency? In terms of Bank statements, salary slips and so forth???

There are ways to go about it some ladies are wise enough to bank their money so they are able to show bank statements then they just ask a great regular that is able to provide them with a salary advice for one and that's the way they go about it or you can speak to the agent depending on the agent and the landlord and pay them say 6 months rent in advance.

They say where there's a will there's a way!

Go on private property, see which houses are let out by private owners directly and not through agents. Contact owner directly. Be prepared to pay in advance as Melina says, it takes a lot of the risk away for the owner, particularly if you can't produce payslips etc.

And if you get a place, be a good tenant, look after the place, keep a low profile. Don't give neighbours anything to be suspicious about. If in a complex, don't throw parties or have a dog that bothers the neighbours, once they are on to you for something they'll be watching you closely for reasons to get you kicked you out, and it will only be a matter of time until they notice men coming in and out.
