In any business there is the risk of Bad Debts, is a WG's business so different?

In other businesses there is the dreaded threat of being listed on one of the Credit Bureau (ITC, Experian etc) hanging over defaulting debtors heads.

There is no such threat in this business.

So a public NAME and SHAME is, in my opinion, called for.

The City of Cape Town is listing defaulting water users.
An elite northern suburbs bottle store publishes a list of all overdue accounts which is prominently displayed in their store 1 day after the account was due.

Why does ESA not follow the same route and NAME and SHAME?

As a footnote I have personally assisted WG's financially on at least 10 occasions so I think I am a bit of a soft touch in this regard but I have never "lent" an amount that I could not afford to write off. And I have been repaid every single loan except one which is in my mind of no consequence.

Name and shame can be a good thing, but it can also be a bad thing. What about "malicious" name and shame. For instance if a girl ask for a loan and the punter does no want to loan her money what stops her from making up a story, how does the person proof it is not true.

Agree with wors - name and shame can get extremely tacky... Rather not.

Girls already have their own forum for that. On here - there is nor purpose or reason except to satisfy curiousity of some nosy forumites.

Anyway no sane reasoning in shaming a pseudonym, what would be the use???
