Will never work in SA with its corrupt ineffective police force that can't even deal with more serious crimes. So we're safe guys, lol. Also interesting the comments on why legalisation isn't necessarily the answer.

It is good if the dignity of ALL humans is equally and fairly protected. But to prohibit interaction between humans is silly, whether money exchanges hands (pockets) or not!

The biggest gain in legalising the space of adult services should be to the benefit of those working in the industry. Sadly.
Putting laws into place would potentially be the least challenging.
As the article rightly says...the effectiveness of such laws is the crux of the matter.
Of course i have a bias as to why legalisation would be good.

My interest lies in the decriminalisation of so called prostitution due to the possibility of infra-structure/s that may be set up to assist those in this space from health care, protection against threat and abuse right down to a sympathetic ear when needed.

Many enter this industry niave , out of desperation , too young.
On one end of scale "prostituton" is a means to an end. On the other end the call of a fantasy or need to be fulfilled.
It will never be an acceptable practise ...for many legitimate reasons.
But like anything....certain vices practised in moderation.....we are a flawed creation.
How to find that ideal.
