Use listerine before and after your visit. Funny thing is I got this many years back from a girlfriend. Eish it was horrible.

I have suffered from cold sores from when I was a kid.
Yes, cold sores is a herpes virus, however, it is a herpes simplex virus (HSV-1) not to be confused with genital herpes. although it can be transmitted to the genitals if oral sex is performed with cold sores.
After someone has contracted the virus, it remains dormant (inactive) for most of the time.
It is highly contagious when the sores are visible on the mouth or facial area.
Recommend that no kissing, touching of the lips or oral sex is performed while the sores are present. You can not contract the virus when the virus is dormant or the sores are healed.

Its risky when you have an outbreak and rest of the time its dormant, otherwise people suffering with cold sore would be permanently contagious. 30 years of Experience, dude!!
