Burner Sim not working

Recently I've been chopping and changing burner Sim cards frequently. I get a Sim, load airtime and minutes and a day or two later I can't make calls because it's been disconnected.
So frustrating because there's no way I'm using my personal number even if it means putting it on Private. I like the ease of using the burner Sim and phone so I can actually save a WG number on it and also be able to switch it off and chuck far away when not in use. The Sim used to last but now it gets disconnected so quickly.
This is such an inconvenience, is anyone else experiencing something like this?

Ive got pre rica sim cards guys. Telkom and vodacom
