Users have complained in the past that ladies are not doing enough video chats, we have gone to great lengths to increase the video chats, there are instances where members are behaving in a abusive fashion towards advertises.

We have added the following notice to all chats:

Please respect the advertiser at all times. Any disrespectful remarks will result in an immediate ban. Although some advertisers may choose to "show a bit more", they are under no obligation to do so as this is not the original goal of the video chat system. The goal is to provide you, the visitor, a better idea about the advertiser's personality, something which is not reflected in the photos on his/her profile.

When can we expect the video chat to be proper video streaming and not the picture every few seconds. Even watching the recorded video chats is crappy, whereas that should have been recorded as a proper video if you did not have the bandwith to stream the live feed to the 10 or 20 audience.

The stream application has been custom designed for South African conditions (around 30mb per hour), bandwidth is very expensive for users so the application is designed around the lowest common denominator.

We are quite capable in designing crystal clear, 30fps flawless streaming video but regrettably 95% of our viewers will not have the bandwidth to view it.

We own and operate our own media server at a cost of $1000 plus a month.

The bottleneck is on the user side not our server.

If as you say the you find the experience "crappy" don't watch the video content as there are several thousand individuals who don't find it "crappy"

How about having the choice of high quality streaming for those that have the facilities.

I would rather watch movies on redtube than watch the recorded chats.

I am sure that most of customers, as I do, enjoy the interaction with the girls but would still agree with me that the video stream at 0.3fps is crappy. If you are capable of streaming the video chat at a higher frame rate, why dont you give us an option of which fps/resolution to use for the video chat. Please consider the customers with high speed internet as well.

The problem is not how fast we can stream the data TO YOU. As stated by ESA SUPPORT, we have a very fast and expensive "video distribution" server. We do however still need to get the stream from the advertiser to the video distribution server, and this is where the bottleneck occurs. We need to move video data from the advertiser to the centralised server.

Please keep in mind that the upload speed of any internet connection is far far lower than the download speed. For example, a 4Mbps ADSL line can only upload at 25% of that speed (or 512Kbps). The same applies to 3G/HSPDA, the speed they advertise is the download speed, not the upload speed. When an advertiser is streaming video, data is data being uploaded.

In order to provide just one visitor access to a 30fps stream, we need to increase the video stream to 30fps on the advertiser's side as well. This is not viable as a 30fps stream consumes a ton of data per hour. Please keep in mind that the advertisers do this for free. As 3G data is still pretty expensive, we decided to keep the data consumption low on their side, otherwise nobody would do the chat.

Please also consider that for your R80 pm gold membership, you receive unlimited access to the live video feeds for the entire month. This is multiple times cheaper than other live video chat systems, where the going rate is about R 14 ($1.99) per minute! At that rate R 80 would only buy you 5 minutes and 42 seconds of chat time! That is nothing!

We ask that you please accept the current framerate of 3 frames per second, as it considers all parties, including the advertisers and their 3G data budget.

Thanks for the update. Don't some of the girls do the video chat at your offices? If so would it not be possible then for these video chats to be broadcast at a higher fps.
