I'm having trouble figuring out where some of these places are in relation to the airport- Sandton, Fourways, Jo'berg North, Rivonia, etc.

Planning on being in Johannesburg and staying at some Sun Hotel right across from the terminal. Which areas/venues are convenient to the airport by taxi if any?

Or could someone suggest a particular girl/s that will go to one of the airport hotels (prefer the well endowed in their 30's, or 40's)

Finally, what is an average rate for an allnighter.

Thanks for the help.

Hi there, all the places you note are quite a distance from the airport, a 30min to 1 hr drive depending one what time of the day or night you intend to travel, maybe a bit longer in heavy traffic.

Try Kempton Park, Edenvale and Bedfordview these are quite close to the airport. Most of the ladies travel, check out the adverts that note that they do, give them a call and request that they come to your hotel.

The rate for allnighter ranges from R1500 all the way to R5000.

Why on earth would you want to stay at the hotel near the airport. Please don't tell me that some brain-dead travel agent advised it.

Rather stay in a hotel near your customers and/or business meetings.

The airport area is fu**ing miserable, and you'll be far happier staying in Sandton or Rivonia.

I know that travel agents suggest staying near the airport because they've heard that you WILL be murdered, raped, sodomised, embezzled, robbed, mugged, buggered, violated, strangled, attacked etc. if you so much as put a toe ouside the airport building. It's absolute bollocks.

Stay in a nice hotel near the action, go to good restaurants, see the sights etc. If you're really worried about Johannesburg, drop me an e-mail to [email protected] and I'll personally pick you up at the airport and take you to a good hotel, and show you exactly where to go for entertainment etc.

We don't live in a war zone here.

Hakuna Matata makes the east rand sound like Iraq. Believe me, its nowhere near as peaceful as that. Trust me on this one, if your rental car doesnt have spinning rims and pink fur on the dash, dont leave your hotel parking bay.

Good one Henry V11...

When I mentioned that the airport area is miserable I meant that there's not a whole lot of night life (or any other kind of life really) in the area. The only entertainment (apart from watching taxi drivers rip off tourists) is at Emperors Palace, and besides you get bored of a bloody casino quickly.

At least in Sandton there are things to do, places to see, women to bonk etc :-)

HM, I fully concur. Last year I had the disgraceful honour of visiting the Presleys nightclub in Boksburg with some friends. Damn, if you dont score with the daughter, you can always try your luck with the mother. The east rand is a country onto itself.

Thanks for the tips. The only reason i'm staying at the airport IC hotel is because my flight arrives at 9 pm, and departs at 9 am the next morning. If I had a few days I would surely take your advice and hit some of the other areas. I know joberg is not a war zone, and have spent some time there, but always in route to eslewhere in Africa.

how about some recommendations for ladies that will travel to the airport?

thanks,
cs

CS, OK I might have over-reacted a bit, because I'm sick and tired of hearing all the crap that travel agents and so-called "travel experts" talk about SA.

If you stay at one of the better hotels in Sandton, they have shuttle busses to and from the airport, and in the long run it'll probably work out cheaper than the airport hotel. Out of rush hour it's only 25 minutes to the airport from Sandton.

As for travelling ladies, try:
