This is exactly what I told a 'cop' who found my number on a dead man's phone..Told him to get a warrant and get my info from Vodacom. If it's a murder case he should have no problem getting it. (I know how long these things take and I also knowhat Peterb has stated)
May I just add, not all ladies are being paid for numbers.
If this same 'cop' had called me and I was new in the industry, and especially if I did not keep company with more experienced ladies, I would possibly be duped into giving my numbers. He If a lady does not know any better she could be fooled if she doesn't know how these things work and believe me there are plenty who don't know how the real world works. Also have you noticed the occasional posts stating a lady's phone has been stolen? Also some of these guys put their ladies at houses or venues and either steal ladies' phones or copy the info from other ladies'in phones. We all think we are careful. But just last night I was at a friend's and we were in the kitchen and her son came in with my phone, Nadia, jou mamma try om jou te bel. Ok, that was a 9yo and my personal phone, but still. It's not that far-fetched to believe ladies come work at a place with the express idea of gleaning contacts.
Now these guys will not make too much effort to find out all your info,it's just too much work and they want easy money. They just move on cos there are more gullible guys or easer targets out there.
